Deep Ellum Arts Festival The Deep Ellum Arts Festival is a three-day, free outdoor "street party" on Main Street between Good Latimer and Hall featuring four stages with non-stop performances by more than 75 national, regional and local bands. With more than 100 decorative and visual artists, muralists, the Deep Ellum Pet Parade on Sunday, and outdoor cafes and festive food and beverages, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival has something for everyone. Festival times are 5-10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

Dallas International Film Festival The Dallas International Film Festival spans 11 days and nights with feature films and shorts including contemporary international features, documentaries and short films. The festival is punctuated with red-carpet galas, receptions and family-friendly outdoor screenings. Victory Park is the main hub for galas, events and screenings, but you can also catch screenings at the Magnolia Theatre, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the AMC NorthPark 15. Dallas Art Dealers Association The DADA Gallery Walk is the perfect time to wander the Uptown district and visit the member galleries of the Dallas Art Dealers Association. Galleries, museums and nonprofit art spaces invite art lovers to socialize and roam from gallery to gallery. It's free, but bring your checkbook if you're in the mood to deal. Live Green Expo Live Green EXPO features exhibitors and workshops on transportation, energy, green building and remodeling, yards and gardens, household products, food and agriculture, waste reduction, water and recreation. EVENTS IN FORT WORTH:

Safari ShuttleThe T's Safari Shuttle Adventure Express is a vintage-look trolley leaving on the hour and half-hour from the Fort Worth ITC Station with stops at the Fort Worth Zoo and ITC.

A round-trip Day Pass to ride the Safari Shuttle is $3.00 for adults, $1.50 for seniors 65 and older and children 18 and under, and free for children under 5. Zoo visitors arriving by train may ride the Safari Shuttle from the ITC Station free of charge with their TRE Day Pass or with a weekly, monthly or annual Regional pass.

The Safari Shuttle's route is from the ITC Station at 1001 Jones Street in downtown Fort Worth to Colonial Parkway, just a short walk from the Zoo's main entrance. The Safari Shuttle will run every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. The last shuttle trolley leaves the Zoo at 7 p.m. For those who wish to park and ride from the downtown area, parking is available across the street from the ITC Station at commercial parking lots. The ITC Station also has a drive through lane for personal vehicles to drop off and pick up riders. Information: 817-215-8600 or www.the-t.com.

The Fort Worth Zoo is recognized as one of the top zoos in the nation, with more than 1,200 creatures from around the world living in lush, natural-habitat settings. Tree-shaded, winding paths lead visitors to incredible exhibits like World of Primates, Asian Falls, Komodo Dragons, Meerkat Mounds, Raptor Canyons and Texas Wild!

Kimbell Art Museum From the Private Collections of Texas: European Art, Ancient to Modern has the Kimbell Art Museum hosting 100 of the most important European paintings and sculptures ever held in private collections in Texas, ranging from glorious Impressionist paintings that once decorated ranchers' homes in West Texas to gems of Renaissance and Baroque art owned by collectors in Dallas and Houston. Riding DART is easy! Fares are available at any DART Rail Station from a Ticket Vending Machine or from your bus operator. A $4.00 Local Day Pass is good for round-trip service.
